A self-taught artist from Quebec, Yann Normand (1974) began his work with drawing and painting. His various experiences, his technical elaboration and his artistic research led him to meet steel and sculpture, which he has been practicing for over a dozen years.
The techniques used give life to works where the energy of the gesture is divined by the movement given to steel.Inspired by the balance between strengths, silence, spiritual elements, then industrial, the work of the artist wants integrity, authenticity and evolution. The sculptures thus testify to the artist's love for what he does and that, before they existed, each one first made its way into the heart of the man.
